Desert Full Bloom
$995.00

Watercolor Painting 22 × 22”

Inspired by the Cholla Cactus and Springtime in the Arizona Desert.

Desert Full Bloom is part of the desert life series. This painting has won several awards and was juried into the Arizona Watercolor Society.

The Cholla Cacti is known as the "Jumping Cactus." It is notorious for very loose joint attachments (stickers), that attach to hapless by-passers with the slightest brush. I went home the day I was doing the photo work on this flower with painful little stickers all over me. The silver lining in all of this, is that the Cholla flowers are truly spectacular.

Princess Park - Brandon MB
$985.00

18 × 24” Original Watercolor Painting

"Princess Park" is a landscape watercolor painting of the fountain in a lovely park in downtown Brandon, Manitoba, where the Prince Edward Hotel used to be situated. The Prince Edward Hotel was an old hotel that had significant historical value, but it was so dilapidated that it was beyond restoration. Something needed to be done with it so the city chose to tear it down and rebuild the area into a park. Stones from the original hotel were used to build features in the park such as this fountain.

Pelican Pete
$1,295.00

Pelican Pete - 22 × 30” Original Watercolor Painting

This cheeky little pelican was on the dock at St. Petersburg, Florida waiting for the fishermen to fillet the fish they caught. The moment they turned their back, this little guy would steal the fillets and the fishermen had no idea what he was up to. As soon as he had a fillet, he'd run back and hide behind the wooden pylon. Was the funniest thing I ever saw.

Desert Glow
$995.00

Watercolor Painting 22 × 22”

From the Desert Life Floral Series

The Saguaro Cactus flower is the state flower for Arizona. It grows in clusters at the top of the the very majestic Saguaro Cactus. Like all of the cactus paintings, the photo-shoot for this particular one didn't come without drama. Picture my car parked on the shoulder of the interstate (yep it shouldn't have been there), a ladder, and a state trooper offering to help me down.

Was great fun to paint this one.
